In this talk, Lan Su Chinese Garden’s Curator of Horticulture will speak to two unique facets of Chinese horticulture: the edible and the ornamental. China has a very rich history of cultivating plants which extends thousands of years. During this talk, you will learn about the symbolism of China’s most important plants and how they still relate to the day-to-day life of the Chinese people. Furthermore, Josie will present tips on how to successfully grow Chinese fruits and vegetables in the climate of the Pacific Northwest.
