NATURE JOURNALING
FREE. Registration NOT required.
Learn how to use simple prompts and materials to more deeply connect and engage with nature, truly see the world around you, and draw and write about what you see. We’ll show examples and guide you through the process of creating a nature journal page in a fun, interactive environment. Reap the benefits of spending time with others in nature and learn a little something about the Learning Garden’s plants and animals along the way. You’ll take home your first entry and the inspiration and knowledge you need to start your own journey of discovery anywhere you have access to nature. Bring your own journal, pens, and pencils to class or use provided paper and writing/drawing materials. For adults and children ages 10-17 accompanied by an adult. No experience necessary.

In cooperation with the OSU Extension Service, the Washington County Master Gardener Association (WCMGA) provides relevant, research-based education and outreach to the public about horticulture and household pests. This information promotes sustainable practices that minimize risks to human health and the environment. The Washington County Master Gardener Association (WCMGA) sponsors a wide variety of gardening–related demonstrations, lectures, seminars and workshops in various Washington County Oregon locations. Most of our events are free and open to the public. The WCMGA is a 501c3 non-profit supported by hundreds of volunteers, who work to educate the public about sustainable, affordable gardening.
