WCMGA Chapter meetings follow our Monthly Chapter Speakers presentations on the first Tuesday evening of every month except July and August. To receive the Zoom link for the chapter meetings, please go to the Public Events Calendar, click on the Monthly Chapter Speaker presentation event for that month, and complete the registration when the button becomes available a few days before the presentation. The Zoom link you will be emailed will work for both the presentation and the chapter meeting immediately following.

Learn/practice various new and existing skills while enjoying and learning more about the world around us
Let this practice take us where it will and perhaps be able to apply our learnings to MG or other community/stewardship activities
Current process (will evolve over time as needed):
Want to keep this easy and informal for everyone involved
Pick a location and meet for about two hours. We can vary the location each time or stick with one place to see changes/fully explore it over time.
Start with introductions (if new people) and a short (optional) sharing session on any highlights from your nature journaling activities/questions since last time and what the group is interested in focusing on for the current session. Terri will give a mini-lesson on how to draw "x" or other technique-oriented topics (ideally based on requests from the group). All of this should take no more than 15-30 minutes so we have lots of time to journal.
Go journal for 45-60 minutes. This could be on your own or multiple people could choose to study the same subject and compare notes.
Do a brief check-in part way through to see how everyone is doing and decide to continue for a little longer or regroup
Save at least 15-20 minutes at the end to have a final regroup to give people a chance to share whatever they would like about the day's experience/learnings and discuss location/focus for the next session.
In collaboration with and in support of the OSU Extension Service Master Gardener Program, the Washington County Master Gardener Association (WCMGA) provides relevant, research-based education and outreach to the public about horticulture and household pests. This information promotes sustainable practices that minimize risks to human health and the environment. WCMGA sponsors a wide variety of gardening–related demonstrations, lectures, seminars and workshops in various Washington County Oregon locations. Most of our events are free and open to the public. The WCMGA is a 501c3 non-profit supported by hundreds of volunteers, who work to educate the public about sustainable, affordable gardening.
